Marek is a muscular young man standing about 6 foot 5 inches tall. His snow white hair is rather short and tipped with light golden brown tips to accent with his light auburn tan. He is seen mostly wearing a black sleeveless shirt covered by an unzipped black blazer with baggy pants. His soft hazel eyes are another contrast to his form but he tends to cover them with a slim pair of sunglasses.
In the battlefield Marek is a completely different person because he focuses on his skills and what he knows to do. He is all in all serious about his battles and doesn’t hold back from using his full potential with the assortment of skills that he has. He views his zoid as his only true friend not really trusting others because he decides to live by the philosophy of keeping his enemies closer than his friends.
Outside the battlefield though Marek is a rather quiet person always seeming to keep to himself if not always found out on the practice field somewhere honing his skills and sharpening on some that he lacks. He’s not one to take a break from either training or doing what he can to better himself mentally and physically.
Origin: Marek didn’t know what the life of a normal child was because at the very young age of only 8 he was out playing with a friend when they both heard an explosion. He suddenly dropped what he was doing to look in the direction that the sound had originated from and what he saw was a pillar of smoke arising from near his home. When, he saw this he automatically ran as fast as he could to his home only to find it in shatters and burning remains not knowing why this happened he pursued to find his parents. While looking through the wreckage of his home he finally found his father only to be brought to tears as there was blood covering every inch of his father’s body knowing now that his parents had been killed and he was left alone in the cold hard world.
Having spent several years reconstructing his parent’s home as a monument to their unfortunate deaths and putting respective tombstones above each grave he made the decision at the age of 16 to gather the rest of his supplies and take a journey out into the world to find out who and why someone would do something like this to his family.
Starting his travels he spent many more years looking for information that might set him after the people he was seeking. He ventured off into a clearing one night to make a shelter to sleep under tired of the town bustle and restlessness that they always seemed to bring. While he was setting up his tent he heard rustling in the nearby woods and a vague image of something he thought looked like a zoid. Building up the courage he decided to grab his flash-light and pursue this image that he saw moving further into the deeper and darker part of the woods searching for many hours until the moon was at its highest point in the sky creating an eerie glow upon another clearing he spotted a Lightning Saix and was rather surprised. Having never really seen a zoid in person before he didn’t know what to think but he had always had a vision of being a zoid pilot in memory of his father and knew that this was to be the perfect zoid. He slowly approached it and brushed his hand on one of its cold, metallic legs as he looked up at the massive zoid causing it to turn around and look at him as he spoke softly. “Will you help me in my goals?” What it did next surprised the young adventurer but gave him the answer he already knew because the zoid lowered itself and opened the cockpit allowing him to begin his bond with his new friend.

Marek finally arriving at the local zoid battle arena walked inside. The arena was packed with zoid pilots from many different groups. Looking around he gave a slight whistle before walking up to the registration desk and looking at the secretary before speaking calmly, “Where do I register to take part in the battles?”
Upon hearing his question she looked up at him smiling warmly as she replied in a rather soft but sweet tone, “Are you new around the area?”
Marek nodded his head lightly before looking down in front of him noticing a clipboard with registration papers for the battle as he took one and put it at his side. “Yes, I’m new to the area and I suppose I’m supposed to fill these papers out and bring them back to you?”
“Of course, but first I’ll need your name and your ID card so that I can enter you into the system.” She extended her right arm over the counter and placed a hand out in front of him to receive the card and waited for his name.
“The name is Marek Altis, pilot of the Lightning Saix named “Shadow”.” Having stated his name he hands her his ID card and proceeds to the nearest table to fill out the wavers and applications for participation in the tournament. Once, having them complete he walked back to the desk and handed the papers over to receive his battle idea back. “Here are the papers you asked for.”
Taking the papers from him she turned her attention to her computer entering him into it and filling out everything that had to be done on his part before looking up at him and speaking with a more firm and business like tone. “Ok, your set for a one on one battle against a Helcat. The battle will take place in 2 hours so you will have that time to eat and devise a battle plan. There is a planning area provided with food for zoid pilots only just down the hall to your right.”
He nodded his head once more and returned a smile feeling excited about his first battle in an actual tournament having spent his years training with his Saix and waiting for this day to finally come. “Thank you.” He then proceeded down the hall to plan out the strategy he would have to use and ate a bit of food to give him energy for his upcoming battle. While in the room another zoid pilot approached him wearing a red bandana with a black shirt and a bright red blazer looking at him before speaking in a rough tone. “So what’s your name?”
“The name’s Marek, you must be my first opponent for the tournament huh?” He looked over to the man standing next to him trying to gauge what he could about him just from appearances.
“Indeed, the name’s Derrick and I felt like wishing you luck because I saw your Saix outside and I must admit it looks pretty impressive. I just hope your skills are as good as it looks. He chuckled lightly before speaking again. “My Helcat and I don’t like it when people don’t give us their best because we find no pleasure or excitement in beating slackers.
“You’ll have to wait till we battle to find out my skill with my zoid. Words are nothing but talk and the real words are shown out in the battlefield with a pilot’s skill. So, if you’re here to try and scare me then I must tell you that your efforts are wasted.” Having finished what he said there was a receptionist that came over the intercom, “Will the two pilots scheduled for a one on one fight please head out to the battle arena with their respective zoids?”
They both told each other “good luck” before heading out to their zoids. Marek found it rather easy to get to his zoid because all of the other pilots were around TV’s so that they could watch the next fight. Once, he got to Shadow he jumped inside the cockpit before heading to the designated arena whispering under his breath. “Here we go boy.”
Arriving to the battlefield he faced his opponent and chuckled slightly waiting for the judge to be deployed and once it was deployed it spoke stating the rules. “The area within a 2 mile radius is a restricted battle zone. All other unauthorized personal is to be evacuated.” The judge started his area scanning before speaking once again. “Battle zone is clear. Battle code is 0099 allowing all rules. Competitors are: Marek Altis and his Lightning Saix versus Derrick McAlister and his Helcat. Battle Ready……Fight”
As the last words came over the intercom, Marek jerked his controls to the right speeding off to a sliding stop as he faces his zoid towards the Helcat and lets loose a barrage from the 30 mm laser repeaters followed up by a sudden blast from the back-mounted Lightning Beam Cannons hitting his target on par before moving in a zigzag pattern towards his opponent. His movements were very quick and agile before breaking off into a leap towards Derrick’s zoid with his claws prepared in a striking motion.
Derrick reacting on pure instinct built up some momentum and charged at the Saix extending its own claws and leaping at the zoid causing a mid-air collision between the two zoids one landing on each side as he looked to his right he noticed some damage before turning around to face the Saix before falling over on its side having frozen after such a hit.
The judge spoke his declaration, “Derrick McAlister is out of the battle.”
Afterwards, Derrick and Marek both opened their cockpits to look at one another and chuckle slightly before extending a thumb up at each other knowing that they would be great rivals. “Congratulations, Marek your skills match your zoid and I’m proud to have a rival such as yourself. Good luck with the tournament and hopefully will meet again one day.”

My Philosophy: Keeping my enemies even closer than my friends.
I would say put it through a grammar and spelling check. Spelling is pretty good but it seems like you have something against commas. Just look it over, read it out loud to yourself, hearing something really helps get a feel for how it comes off and it'll really help with the flow of your paper.
