While Tim was gone making a phone call Leon couldn't help but disagree with Stephen's opinion about Zoids since for him they were not just mere machines and weapons. "I don't know what's the history behind Kage but I'm a little bit surprised that some pilots really don't think of a Zoid's innermost feelings. A Zoid core is alive it holds every life inside the Zoid, for me they aren't weapons nor machines but this is only my opinion and I respect what your opinion is about Zoids and their pilots but haven't you ever felt your Zoid move by itself like it was alive?" Leon said as he finished all of his food.
Tim returned after a short while with a worried look on his face and turned around to follow him to see what was wrong. He quickly jumped into Howl's cockpit and followed Tim to the hospital. Leon followed Tim near the door of the room in the hospital but the tension in the air was already enough for Leon not to poke into another person's business. He waited patiently outside with the rest of them hoping that everything might be alright. "A pilot and a Zoid are one, when one goes down the other one goes with it." Leon remarked as he sat down outside waiting for Tim.
"I don't speak for Kage," Stephen spoke up, his eyes turning towards the one on the phone but ignored the conversation because of lack of caring, "They all have their own opinions on things and how things work. A core is nothing more than a flashing AI system to correct gun fire and run damage reports every time the zoid is hit. But the intelligence is still artificial and can only do what its programed to do. Only zoids with organoids fused with them, little black boxes, are actually considered alive. It was suppose to be something rare but seems to be something far more common now a days. My Command Wolf doesn't move on its own, it moves when I tell it to move. Giant robots walking around on their own with heavily armed guns and ten foot long blades isn't something I consider an amazing blessing."
Everyone seemed to be leaving now. Stephen stood up quickly, not to follow them to the hospital but because he probably had something better to do at the Kage base. He wasn't sure if Charles cared enough to go or not and looked back at him. Stephen wasn't the kind of guy that would leave someone by themself especially when they had started a conversation with him. His mind kept going back to the fight though, something didn't add up. The kong caught the wolf, slammed it into the ground and threw it into another wolf. Barbaric maybe but it if all the harnesses were fastened as they are checked before every battle, then there really shouldn't have been a large amount of damage set into it. This thought stopped him in his tracks even while he looked back to Charles to see if he was going to follow the kids or not.
Now Tim walked out to his zoid, and started to drink his whiskey. “Dam it all I wish I knew how I could help him” said Tim. Tim walked back to his friend’s room with Fang following him, and his fiancé, and his friend’s mother was on the floor weeping. “Kiser you’ll be ok don’t die on me my friend” said Tim to the young unconscious pilot. With a glance he saw Fang watching him then a doctor came in.
“Everyone Kiser’s condition is very serious he is very lucky to not of died in that zoid” said the Doctor. They all looked at the young pilot. “Well we’ll monitor him the best we can” with that the doctor left. No one could feel calm about the situation the mother and sister blamed all zoids for the situation but Tim defended it. Now Tim walked out crying.
Tim went out to Leon Fang, “Leon I’m going to stay here and watch my friend” said Tim. With that he jumped into his zoid Fang and said “partner this sucks”. Tim started drinking again. Just then a meesage came through but he was so hurt that he would not read it. Finally he checked it and it was from Leon Fang.
Leon didn't mind that Tim was going to stay in the hospital he understood why he had to after all that person was important for Tim. The bar wasn't that far from the hospital so he decided to just go back and have a drink for a while. He jumped to Fang's cockpit and proceeded to go to the bar. He saw Tim's Zoid Fang and he was sure that Tim was inside. He wanted to check on him but decided not to instead he sent him a message.
To: Tim
I know this situation is hard on you since he is a very important person to you. I'm not gonna poke into your personal life and feelings. I'm just making sure that my team mate is okay.
Just remember one thing a Zoid Pilot can never be one if he doesn't have a strong will so have faith in your friend. And one more thing the damage done on the Zoid and the effect on the pilot doesn't match at all you'll understand what I mean if you try to remember how the Zoid got damage in the first place. If you need me I'm at the bar the night is still young after all.
From: Leon Fang
While the travel wasn't really that long Leon kept on pondering over some small details. He was still thinking over the mysterious damage caused by the impact normally a pilot would just get bruises but this time it wasn't just bruises.
After a few minutes he arrived at the bar and saw Stephen who was about to leave. Leon approached Stephen seeing that he was a little hesitant on going out of the bar.
"I think I know what got you dead cold on your tracks. The damage to the pilot isn't an ordinary accident." Leon said as he passed by Stephen and Charles and went to the counter to buy some beer. "About that last remark of yours I guess we have different opinions on Zoids but let me ask you this what is your own Zoid to you? Is it a friend? a machine? a weapon? or anything else besides that." Leon said focusing the question to the two pilots who were about to leave.
Damion flew in from the sniper base that night and looked around at the town and said wow this is where Leon is. Thank god for GPS, he thought to himself. Well lets go find him, after hours of searching. he found a small bar and smiled then said "pfft figured id find someone here" he walked into the bar and started to frown, as he saw the two men talking to Leon. Damion wanted to keep it down so he went and sat in the back.
which was really kind of awkward, a man in a black suit with chains sitting in the back he thought to himself. as the waitress came by and she said would you like anything to drink sir? yes a scotch on the rocks please. Damion sat as the men left he stood up with his drink and walked behind Leon.
Well, well good morning solider. Damion laughed and then patted him on the back, what brings you to an awful place like this? And where the heck is Tim, ive been looking for him. Is everything alright Leon?

We all fight, but we fight side by side when the time comes. ZBC PILOTS LIVE FOREVER!!!
Leon was surprised when somebody suddenly patted him on the back it almost made him jump. It was actually Damion the Co-Captain of Team Sniper which gave him quite a relief. It was kind of creepy since he never thought that he will show in the bar. Leon laughed as he came to realize that he really did jump which gave Damion a confused look.
"Sorry Captain must have dazed out." Leon said laughing "I've been here for a few hours just thought that I'd relax for a little while."
"Something weird happened lately in a Zoid battle that's why I've been thinking hard, a pilot got hurt pretty bad but the injuries doesn't match with the accident that happened." Leon said feeling a little depressed "Tim's at the hospital it was his friend that was hurt in the battle. Mind if I ask something?"
Now as soon as Tim was finishing his beer a ZBC officer came up to Fang. “You in there I was told you were a friend of the hurt pilot I would like to talk to you” said the ZBC officer. Tim jumped out of Fang and nodded his answer. The ZBC thing it was an attempted murder from the Rick Flare Gang. As you know their starting to increase in numbers and criminal activity. Now though they deny it we know it’s them”. Now at this entire officer said only increased his rage. In fact we questioned the Iron Kong pilot and found out he is a member of this gang and is under arrest” said the officer.
Tim said thanks and jumped into Fang and went to the bar. Now inside he saw Leon and his Co Captain talking. Then on the TV came the new bulletin from ZBC on the incident. “Attention the officials have accused the Rick Flare Gang with attempted murder on the pilot today. Now it turns out the pilot of the Iron Kong was a member of this organization. In Response to this they are being hunted. Rick Flare himself has sent a letter saying the more you chase us the more pilots die we’ll will fight back and kill our pursuers” said the news reporter.
“Dam them those Son of a ****** hurt my friend I’ll kill them” Tim said and fell to the ground crying because before he left the doctors said that his friend as passed away. Leon and Damion Walked beside him and tried to ease the pain.
Stephen had to keep his own mind set, afterall its what made him what he was and that would probably never change unless he found out in his own way that he was wrong. The pilot looked to the kid when he returned and shrugged a bit at the comments about the injured pilot. Stephen had figured the damage was off key infact he believed that he was the first to really mention anything about it. His mind was changed, though, when the old subject was brought back up again. They wanted his opinion this time and he would happily give it.
"To me, a zoid is just that, a Zoid, its a war machine designed to create damage either among other zoids or for whatever the pilot has intended for it. Its a cold idea I know but its cold logic." he told them. It wasn't that he was immotionless, that wasn't true at all, but he couldn't deny what zoids were actually made up, no spirit, no soul could ever be put into a machine even if it did have an AI that told it to act according to some personality traits.
His hazel eyes had to turn to Tim though, having a fit about what was being told on the news. Stephen had to narrow his eyes as well recieving the news as well but moved up to Tim and looked down at him. "I'm not going to tell you what to do, but if your going to go out and try and attack them, I'd seriously suggest you take a team with you. Otherwise YOUR going to be the one that ends up dead."
Stephen's words couldn't be denied since what he said was true that Zoids are War Machines but for Leon they were different. "What you say is true, Zoids are War Machines, but the true essence of a Zoid lies within its pilot. They bring out the soul inside the Zoid but still I have to admit that your right about your opinion of a Zoid." Leon said. Then he noticed that Tim had just arrived and with the look on his face it wasn't good.
Suddenly the news on the television were right on time explaining the death of the pilot. Leon had never thought that things like this would happen since this was a time of peace. The news about the gang was quite new to him yet some what familiar. "I never thought that there were still some maniacs who would live to kill" Leon thought as he was calming Tim down who was almost throwing a tantrum. After a few seconds he noticed Stephen walking up to Tim and telling him to get a team if he wanted to go and attack the fiends that killed his friend.
Leon knew that Stephen was right again he couldn't deny the possibility that Tim would actually attack the gang and if he goes alone he will surely end up like his friend. "Listen friend take his advice if you are going to attack. I'm not telling you what to do but all I ask is you do the right thing, don't make mistakes that you might regret in the end." Leon said to Tim who was still on the floor crying.
Ace was flying around when he came upon Betaru City. Needing to stop and take a break, Ace lands Midnight and heads for the nearest bar. Entering the bar, he heads for the counter and orders a root beer. While waiting for his drink, Ace looks around the bar to see who else is here. Scanning the crowd, he notices several other Zoid pilots from various teams. Being new to Team Fury, Ace dosen't recognize any of the other pilots or their teams.
Receiving his drink from the bartender, Ace walks over to a table and sits down by himself. While sipping his drink, he glances over at the other pilots, trying to figure out who they are and what teams they're from. Still unable to figure out who they are, Ace orders a meal and continues to keep to himself. Once his meal arives, Ace starts eating, still glancing over at the other pilots on occasion.
